B.Sc. OPERATION THEATER TECHNIQUES
INTRODUCTION
A Modern Operation Theatre is a cornucopia of various state of the art machines & equipments. The set up, preparation and handling of these equipment then becomes a vital part of the functioning. Trained technicians are thus in high demand in this line of specialization. Operation theatre technology is meant to train the candidate in all the procedures in operation theatre.
The B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology is related to all the work and management of the operation theatre. The course prepares students for managing the patients as well as for monitoring the ins and outs of an operation theatre. During the study, the students are responsible for looking after all the
surgical instruments as well as their sterilization. Students assist the surgeon during operations and closely look after the drugs, anesthetic gases, drapes and sterilization requirements during surgery.
In addition, minor tasks of arranging operation theatre table, instrument table, anesthesia table and managing the staff prepares a professional Operation Theatre Technician.
Operation Theatre Technicians are allied healthcare professionals. Their tasks include assisting Doctors in Surgery, arranging surgical instruments before surgery, sterilizing instrumentation before surgery, cleaning surgical instruments after surgery, carrying out Surgeons’ commands during surgery and taking care of anaesthesia equipment.

BSC IN RADIOLOGY AND IMAGING TECHNOLOGY – BRDIT
Radiologist, Physicians and surgeons who learn the highly-advanced skill of interpreting and diagnosing medical imaging are called radiologists. Assisted by technicians, radiologists use mammography, x-ray, MRI, fluoroscopy, and CT scans to identify illness and disease.
Medical imaging is the technique and process used to create images of the human body (or parts and function thereof) for clinical purposes (medical procedures seeking to reveal, diagnose or examine disease) or medical science (including the study of normal anatomy and physiology).
A Radiologic Technologist, also known as medical radiation technologist and as radiographer, performs imaging of the human body for diagnosis or treating medical problems.
The common subjects of basics in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Surgery & Medicine taught in the 1st year will prepare the student to understand the nature of disease. The hands on experience in the department of Radiology from day one onwards will enable the student to understand the nature of the
illness beginning with routine imaging to CT and MRI scans. The students will receive excellent and exhaustive training in these fields to be able to assist senior radiologists.

Bsc in Speech Therapy -
Speech therapy is an allied branch of health sciences related to the disorder of speech, voice, and language of a person. Speech therapy and audiology have become promising career options in recent times.
A person who has a degree or diploma in speech therapy is called a speech therapist. The growing awareness among people to treat speech and auditory disorders has increased the demand for these
experts. As a result, a career as a speech therapist is proving to have great potential for aspiring students. In daily practice, a speech therapist works with people who have difficulty speaking, forming
words or sounds, or who are recovering from injury, illness or trauma that has affected their ability to communicate verbally.
Delayed speeches during childhood, stammering, stuttering and lisping are a few examples of speech disorders. Speech disorders can occur due to various reasons including psychological trauma and congenital defects like cerebral palsy and cleft palate. Speech therapists and audiologists also work with old people/ grown-ups who may have lost their ability to communicate due to medical reasons such as strokes, accidents, removal of larynx (because of cancer.)
