Raising a Teenager is difficult but not impossible. Parents need to understand for themselves that the rational part of their teens' brains is not entirely developed for the logical purpose. This is because we adults can make good judgment and use better conscience, but teens use the emotional part of their brain. Parents, at any cost, need to stand firm and guide them perpetually to make proper judgments. At the same time, do not forget to give them some freedom to learn and grow from their mistakes and deal with consequences.

1. Instead of assuming what your teen child is thinking, be communicative. This will help avoid misunderstanding to a great extent and build up a profound rapport in an amicable manner.

2. Knowing them better is really important. This is the time when they start to really have a defined personality and interests. If you do not know what their interests are, there will be an invisible wall between you two.

3. Do not judge but understand their problems, no matter how silly they sound. Make them trust that you will not judge or attack them if they spill out their common problems.

4. Lastly, show empathy and put yourself in their shoes.

Teens Want To Make Their Own Decisions:

Parents should realize that biologically the teen years are solely dedicated to their own ideas. They always want to make their own decisions. Give them a safe space to try out on their own and refrain from pulling back in usual circumstances. It can be a recipe for disaster if parents rub their own ideas on their teenage children. Instead, work with them and recognize they want more space. Discuss practical ways and ask not too many uncomfortable questions. They need to be able to trust you even if they have screwed up something.

Some Tips To Build Connectivity With Teens:

1. Be A Good Listener

2. Always Give them Honest and Supportive advice.
