Career in B.Sc. and M.Sc.
• The B.Sc. degree course is a graduate degree course in Science; this can be a part-time or full-time course.
• A simple BSc course would comprise of science subjects such as, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology and Mathematics.
• The course duration is generally of 3 years in India.
• It is pursued after passing from 12th (10+2 eligibility)

• The B.Sc degree is differentiated into two types, i.e., the Plain B.Sc degree comprising of traditional courses such as B.Sc in home science, zoology, PCM, etc., and the professional B.Sc degree consisting of job oriented courses such as B.Sc in Animation, Agriculture, computer science, psychology, nursing, information technology and more.
• The eligibility for B.Sc is 12th pass from the PCM/B stream.
• The job opportunities available for B.Sc degree holders can be from both, the science and non-science specific fields.
• As for M.Sc, pursuing masters after bachelors in science is one of the best options for science students. The scope of the master’s degree is more demanding but it also builds up the profile and the ability level of the aspirant.
• With an M.Sc degree, candidates can land jobs in the field of medicine, technology, chemical, petrochemical, etc, based on their chosen specialization. Job prospects in government and private sectors, both in technical and non-technical areas become available.
• The eligibility for M.Sc is to be a B.Sc graduate. There’s no age limit and the admissions for the Masters in Science is usually done through entrance exams such as AIIMS PG, IIT JAM, IPU CET, IGNOU, etc., and personal interviews.
• The duration of M.Sc course in 2 years. Some institutions offer integrated Science courses as well.
• Post B.Sc/M.Sc Students can also prepare for competitive exams like SET, NET, MPSE.
