1)    Why to Study Abroad?
There are various reasons for which a student should consider abroad studies such as:
1.    Student gets an opportunity to travel to different countries and explore its culture, people, tradition which is an add on experience. Not only the country in which a student studies but also to its neighboring countries.
2.     To experience a very different pattern of education. Every country has a different style of education and student studying in abroad gets a chance to explore new methodology and technology of study which is again an overall new experience.
3.     When you study abroad you also get a chance to learn different language other than what you know in your home country. You need to learn to the common people language so that you can interact with the people of new country and get yourself gel up in the new country with new people.
4.     Abroad studies also provide god career opportunities in your home country as well as in abroad.
5.     Studying abroad might let you discover your interest which you may not know being in home country and the reason behind it is that may be that activity is not there or you never did it.
6.    Studying in abroad gives you a very good opportunity of making a very strong network across the globe.
7.     Abroad studies also help out in personal development.

2)    How to Apply?
1.    Process of applying in abroad universities can take up to 2 years so students need to plan ahead.
2.    There are several ways for applying in foreign universities like:
1.    Advanced Placement Program (AP) :
1.    Students can apply for this program while completing their secondary education. In this program student will have universities level courses and exams where he/she has to earn college credit.
2.    This program and its credit score is recognized by many foreign universities for admission
3.    Universities or colleges in abroad gives placement to those candidates who have a score of 3 or above n a scale of 5 as it shows that you have a mastered level knowledge and skills while still in high school.

2.    Taking the  Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) :
1.     Some foreign colleges and universities consider SAT score for admissions.
2.     Along with SAT score there are other factors which are considered by foreign universities for admission like High school GPA, Academic transcript, letter of recommendation (LoR), Interviews and personal essays.
3.    There are 3 sections in SAT exams namely, maths, reading and writing and minimums +score is 400 and maximum 1600.
4.    The best practice for the SAT is the PSAT 8/9PSAT/NMSQT, and PSAT 10. These tests measure the same skills and knowledge as the SAT.

3.    Financial Planning :

1.    Merit based Scholarship
Scholarship are provided on the basis of various criteria like academics, achievements, hobbies, Talents, affiliations with various groups or career aspirations.
ΓΌ Scholarship by Universities
There are many universities in abroad which provides scholarship to the students so that they can study in that university. Different universities have different criteria for providing scholarship like academic excellence, certain age limit etc.
For example: In Sweden, scholarship covers tuition fees, living expense, some travel grants and insurance or
In Switzerland, more scholarships are provided for PhDs as compare to those offered for bachelors or masters.
ΓΌ Scholarship by the government:
Foreign government as well as national government scholarships is available to the students who want to pursue abroad studies. Government has their own criteria and one of the most important one is the academic excellence.
ΓΌ Sports scholarship :
If student is good at a sport or is interested to be a part of any college/university team then on basis of their sports skills they can also get scholarships from college/universities and at times many local groups or organizations also offer such scholarships.
2.    Specific scholarships:
These scholarships are provided on the basis of a specific criteria like to on the basis of gender or minorities or physical disability, learning disability or health conditions etc.
3.     Need- based Scholarship :
These are financial aids provided to the students for completing their education who cannot afford study because of low income or if they have any disabilities.
4.    Student Education Loans:
The most common form of financial help is taking education loan from government or private bank and repayment starts generally after 6 months (grace period) from the completion of the course

The UPSC civil services exam which is the qualifying exam for IAS, IPS, IFS and other high-level bureaucrats is also a preferred career option among the Arts stream students. Alternatively, they can also appear for Banking sector recruitment exams, SSC / Staff Selection Commission Exams or State PCS exams to join the bureaucracy.

Career Options After 10th Class

Career Options After 10th  Class
In India, there are basically 3 major streams from which a student can choose and they are:

1.    Arts
2.    Science
3.    Commerce
There are many career options available to one choosing any of the above streams. Let’s discuss them one by one.
·      ARTS :
If a student has interest in making a career in  Mass Media, Journalism, Literature, Languages, Sociology, Social Service, Human Psychology, History, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Resources, Economics and history then he/she can opt Arts after 10th. In arts various subjects are available like English, Hindi, History, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit and Sociology, for the higher secondary level. But one has to opt for four compulsory subjects in addition to English and a Modern Indian Language.
·       SCIENCE  :
So in science stream majorly 3 subjects are offered namely, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. If a student chooses to make career in Engineering or medicine then he/ she can choose science as a subject after 10th.
If a student wants to be an engineer which is a technical field then he needs to have a combination of PCM i.e. Physics, chemistry and mathematics.
If a student wants to have a career in medicine then he needs to have combination of PCB i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
·       COMMERCE :
This stream should be taken by those students who love to play with numbers.  Main Subjects available in this stream are Business Studies and Accountancy along with which a student can choose from Math, Statistics, Economics, History, Geography, Political Science, and many more. 
The courses for which students can apply after Commerce stream are B.Com, BBA, BMS, BBM, CFA, CA, ICWA, CFP etc.

Please note:
1.    Different schools have different subjects in combinations with the above mentioned main streams.
2.     Also there are various other careers apart from above mentioned options.
Also there are certain courses apart from Science, Arts and Commerce which a student after 10th can apply for. Some of them are mentioned below-
·       VOCATIONAL COURSES :
The courses in this stream are Interior Designing, Fire and Safety, Cyber Laws, Jewellery Designing, Fashion Designing and more.
·       POLYTECHNIC COURSES :
1.    Students having Polytechnic diploma courses can get admission into second year of technical degree courses through entrance exam.
2.    The subjects which the students will learn in polytechnic will also be in Engineering and they can complete their Engineering course with less expenditure.
3.    This course duration is three years after 10th.
