·       Disadvantages of studying in New Zealand-
1.    Flights to and from are quiet expensive as well as importation of goods because New Zealand is quiet far away from the rest of the world and only Australia and some Pacific Islands are situated nearby.
2.    Auckland is the only city in New Zealand which is biggest and crowded and so most of the people want to reside in Auckland   and therefore the housing cost and the housing rent is also very high.
3.    In New Zealand only few professional fields are available so that reduces the job opportunities and also if student have interest in any other field then he/she has to move overseas for higher education and for job into that field.
4.     In New Zealand, there are poor building regulations, heaps of mosquitoes and flies and poor public transport.

·       Education Loan-
Most of the students who aspire to study abroad need financial aids and therefore Government of India along with the Reserve Bank and Indian Bankers Association, has formed an inclusive educational loan scheme. Different banks have different education loan limit.
·        Eligibility -
1.    Candidate should be an Indian National.
2.    Candidate should have secured admission to the courses through entrance exam.
3.    Candidate should have secured admission to foreign university.

·       Documents –
1.    Mark sheets of the last qualifying examination for school and graduate studies in India
2.    Proof of admission to the course
3.    Scheduling of expenses to the course
4.    Copies of letter confirming the scholarship
5.    Copies of foreign exchange permit, if applicable
6.    Two passport size photographs
7.    Bank statement for the last six months of the borrower
8.    Income tax assessment order not more than two years
9.    Brief statements of assets and liabilities of the borrower.

·       How to apply for studying in New Zealand-

There is a 5 step process which needs to followed step by step in order to pursue studies in New Zealand and the process is as follows-

Step 1- Choose what to Study:-
 Student has to first decide as what he/she wants to study in New Zealand. There are various courses and one has to wisely pick up a course considering various factors like cost of the course, pros and cons of studying that particular course, future opportunities related with that course, exposure and many others.

Step 2- Plan your Budget:-
After deciding what you have to study, then you have to start planning you budget which will include you cost of course as well as cost of living. This budget will include education loan amount, any scholarship or any plans to work while studying so as to meet out a portion of living cost or something.
Step 3- Apply for your Course:-
 Once you have decided your course and planned out your entire budget for the tenure of your study then you have to begin with applying for the chosen course.
Now in this different colleges and universities will have different application time as well as admission time. And also before applying to these courses, student may have to appear in different entrance exams as required by their chosen university/college like IELTS.TOEFL, PTE, GMAT, GRE etc.

So students have to take these exams accordingly so that their results are out on time and they can apply to the courses accordingly within the time limit.

Step 4- Apply for Visa:-
 Once application has been submitted and admission has been confirmed by the college /university then student can apply for Student visa.
Again time planning has to be there to put everything on place. So student has to see in advance the time it will take to receive a student visa beforehand so that he does not miss the admission date.
Step 5- Get Ready to Go:-
Now when student have his/her admission and student then he has to go to new Zealand and find his accommodation , start his/her course and also any kind of work which he/she can do while studying.
·       Documents for Visa -
Payment for student visa has to be done either by bank cheque or by draft. Following documents are required for student visa-
1.    A completed Student Visa Application Form  (INZ 1012)
2.    Valid Passport
3.    2 passport sized color photograph
4.    Education Certificate ( 10th onwards)
5.    English Language requirements (IELTS AND TOEFL score)
6.    Covering letter
7.    Statement of Purpose
8.    Offer of Place
9.    Evidence of Employment
10.      Medical Certificate
11.      Character certificate by police
12.      Financial statements or proof of funds

·       Cost of study in New Zealand-
Following cost are needed to be consider for planning to study in New Zealand-
1.    Tuition Fees-  different college/ university have different tuition fees for their different courses like for bachelor degree it can be between $25,000 to $ 35,000 (approx.) or for masters you might have to pay between $28,000 to $38,000 (approx.) and for PhDs. It can be between $6,500 to $9,500 (approx.) per year.
2.    Living cost- New Zealand is not a very big country and only Auckland is its most crowded and expensive city. So one can plan accordingly as out of Auckland the rent is quite low. You can consider living cost between $18,000 to $27,000 per year.

Also you have the option of work and study in New Zealand so have a support to meet out your living expense at least. On student visa, student can work 20 hours per week during term time and full time out of term time and if student is doing masters or PhDs then full time work is allowed even during term time.
