It is difficult to strive for achievement and internal satisfaction if you lack Motivation in life. How would you expect to pass the test if you aren't inspired to study? And how would you be successful if you spend more of your time focused on external Motivations (pleasing others for recognition or success) rather than internal Motives (focusing on a target for personal Happiness)?
Happiness may be a Motivator and some people can derive Motivation from experiencing other positive Motivators such as a sense of achievement, recognition, and a sense of belonging. The physical environment affects perceptions of Happiness. Their opposites—pain, hunger — create unHappiness. However, evidence indicates that such a significant shift in conditions has only a short-term effect on your sense of satisfaction. If you have adapted to the current environment, it becomes the expected 'natural,' and your level of satisfaction returns to their biological norm. This is true with both natural disasters and major windfall profits.
Motivation fosters ambition to accomplish a goal, such as losing weight or finding a new career, and as you excel, you are pleased with the outcome. So, if you keep Motivating yourself and setting and achieving new goals, you'll feel better than you did before. And, while achievement is the source of inspiration, pleasure is the intrinsic emotion that drives it. So, to ensure that both your satisfaction and productivity levels are increasing, set small goals for yourself and learn to be content with steady progress.
Motivation is essential for effectively Managing the struggles that life throws at us. Highly driven individuals, for example, are organized, and they assign specific hours in their lives to various assignments, giving themselves deadlines to finish each one. An example would be waking up on time and getting out of bed. If you like what you do, you may be more inspired to get out of bed and into work on time, but if you are uninterested, you can end up pressing the 'Snooze' button a couple of too many times, wasting needless time.
Without Motivation, success is unachievable. And while success is the vision, it is essential to remember that Happiness is the most important part of the equation, without Happiness, there will be no sense of purpose to your success.
Happiness, in an employee or Manager, would mean that they thoroughly enjoy what they do and where they work. Most of the Managers dread waking up and going to the office, but the few who are actually happy, love what they do, and are actually the ones companies seek to hold on to.
Happy Managers take an extra Step [Think Out of the Box] more to get things done. When a Manager believes in the work he does and loves what they do, they are willing to take that extra effort to get things done. They would not mind spending an extra unpaid hour at work to finish a priority task because they love what they do and find happiness in it.
Happy Managers are more #Loyal to the organization. A happy Manager believes in the business he does and wants the organization to succeed. Such Managers are more resilient and are likely to stay with the company for a longer duration. This would make the Managers be more productive as they are specialized in the work they do and the business the company is in. This also enables better mentoring to the juniors and new recruits.
Happy Managers are also #Healthier than others. This means better physical and mental health. A healthy employee automatically is better productive as their energy and focus would be high and can be used optimally towards the work they do.
Happy Managers are also better #Risk-Takers. Such risk-taking is what brings profits to the firm thus increasing productivity as well. This also leads to innovation and out-of-the-box thinking. Such employees then prove to be the most productive and increase the organization's returns.
Thus, ensuring that the Managers are happy with their work and the work climate is very essential to an organization as the impact of the same is huge.
Mindful Leadership means being able to take an honest look at yourself and asking these rather uncomfortable and confronting questions on a regular basis:
๐คWhat is Your motivation for Leading?
๐คAm I in Leadership because I enjoy power, control, and fame?
๐คAm I Leading to serve or am I Leading to be served?
๐คAm I willing to put the interests of the organization ahead of my own?
It also means trying to Lead without ego and being willing to put the interest of others before ourselves.
What do you think are the traits needed if you want to develop into a mindful Leader.......??
A Video Resume or a ViSume is a new creative type of Resume which allows professionals to create a good first impression. A ViSume allows a professional to give a personal touch to the Resume and add their personality to it.
Some of the benefits of a ViSume for professionals would include the following,
1.ViSumes are more credible to the employees: Employers believe there are fewer chances of faking information in a ViSume. This helps professionals to provide information in detail to the employers in a credible manner such that they are able to better assess the technical skills and the knowledge required for the job.
2.ViSumes can help you show your zeal and enthusiasm: Unlike on a paper or a digital doc, a ViSume gives you a platform to show your enthusiasm. This is because if you are really excited about a job, the enthusiasm will be difficult to hide. This gives a better chance of you converting an interview call.
3.This shows that you are comfortable with the latest technology: When you submit a ViSume rather than submitting a simple word doc or pdf, it shows that you have put in a lot of effort to record and edit the video. This use of technology shows that you are a candidate with updated knowledge in technology and are less likely to face technological challenges. In a technology-driven era, this is a very desirable skill.
4.Show a peek into your personality: Most Resumes give zero clues about the candidate's personality, but a ViSume gives you a platform to express your personality and how it is a good fit for the organization’s culture.
5.Communication skills: This also helps in properly conveying your communication skills to the employer. Since the ViSume involves speaking about your Resume, it gives the candidate a platform to properly communicate the content to the employer rather than leaving it for interpretation by them. This again is an indicator of good communication skills.
Digital V cards are the new emerging trend right now. This is an electronic business card which contains all information like name, designation, contact information along with website URLs, and any other information that has to be passed on. This can be attached in emails or multi-media messages.
The most significant advantage of this is that it is easy to store information, share and it is very convenient. This makes sure all the data are available in a single template and without any clutter.
Some of the benefits of the digital vCard can be the following:
1.An important benefit can be translated into it being an environment-friendly option as there is no tangible printouts of cards. Surveys suggest that 88% of printed cards are disposed off in a week’s time
2.This also provides another benefit of easy updation. Information can be updated easily without having to reprint any cards or dispose of existing ones.
3.The digital vCard are easily accessible and easily stored. These can be accessed on the smartphone anytime and this makes it easier to get things done.
4.Another significant benefit is that the cards are inexpensive and costs nearly nothing in the making and sharing process.
5.The fact that it creates an impression of a responsible and sustainable business is an added advantage
6.There are more or less fixed templates for digital vCard, hence the time spent on designing them are less
Due to these reasons, we can see that the digital vCard are very beneficial and that they are here to stay.
