Time Management has crucial role to play in Aviation. It is important to make every minute count. “Aviation is the branch of engineering that is least forgiving of mistakes”.  Managing time is important issue because time is seen as a source of production and consumption. In Aviation, delays effect the productivity and cost airlines thousands of dollars every year. Planning and organising day to day tasks prompts appropriate time management. One of the issues that is difficult to to manage in aviation is time management process. When the aircraft is in place, time management is one of the most important elements to make operational processes effective. There can be different internal or external factors affecting time management. Some of them can be given as:

1. Airport related Deferrals : Such delays may result due to absence of parking spots, runway issues, or conceivable deferral to airplane which have not yet left from the previous airport.

2. Airlines related Deferrals : These delays that are directly under the influence of the airline. They are passangers, baggage and cargo, aircraft ramp handling, technical and aircraft equipment, aircraft damage and computer operations failure, flight operations and other causes.

3. Air Traffic Deferrals : These delays could happen due to uneven weather conditions. 

4. En-route Deferrals: These type of delays can be due to lack of en-route airspace capacity. 

5. Due to unfavourable weather conditions at destination.

Any Aviation-related industry’s goal should be to make the system resilient to disruption and quick up when disruptions happen. Beyond essential framework plan and execution, airlines need to create plans when disruptions are insignificant and contained for quite a long time of outrageous interruptions, when occasions, for example, terrible weather.

Airlines have different ways to protect their system against delays in cost effective manner by improving execution, reducing complexity and creating buffers. Some moves involve tradeoffs and some can affect other areas, so careful planning and consideration of consequences are essential.

Work from Home has so many advantages but it has some downside too like you can eas get distracted, and it becomes hard to manage your time effectively. If you are working in a corporate industry it is very necessary to know the importance of time management.

To balance work life and personal life is quite difficult but we have to work accordingly as the situation demands. 
Time management is one of the most important skills sought after by employers in the cooperate world, whether it is an office job or a field job. 
Work from Home has both positive and negative impacts on business as well as how to improve time management for increased efficiencies.
* First and foremost thing is to make a proper chart for a day. Like how you will be managing the other things apart from work, during your office hours. 
If you start your day early you will find it all easy to plan for a day, firstly everything is calmer and quieter in the morning, which will help in focusing on work as in the morning you can take time and plan your schedule accordingly by waking up early in the morning. 
Straight after, you can start catching up on e-mails, plan your day, and prioritize tasks or things that happened at work overnight.  Waking up early can also be helpful as if you start your day earlier, for instance, getting things ready and starting to work before an hour of your reporting time. This can save a minimum of 10 hours extra on your weekly schedule. 
* Make a follow-up - 
 Working from Home is not a difficult task if you follow a proper routine and prioritize your time. First make sure you start your work on time, checking your email, texts at the same time, and take your breaks according to the planned schedule. 
If you don't have a proper follow up you'll be ending your day with loads of work and stress. 
All this will affect your eating habits, you'll not found yourself productive, will be more stressed at the end of the day. 
Not having a routine can lead you to leave things undone and therefore you will be unable to make the most of your time. 
As you can see in the chart above, it is common for companies to block social media sites that are distracting their employees and wasting their time reducing their productivity.

On Tuesday, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was officially suspended by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as a result of players from different franchise and their support personnel having screened Covid positive. The cancellation of the IPL, the biggest money spinner for the BCCI, which in turn is also the biggest contributor to the finances of IPL teams, could prove to be a big financial setback for both.

As per reports, it was seen that as per 2020, the earnings from IPL was about 4000 crores, when it was held in United Arab Emirates (UAE). This revenue was from broadcasting alone and not any crowd attendance. From each broadcast it can be averaged that BCCI earn about Rs. 67 crore per match. When we see that there are 31 matches yet to be played in this year’s IPL, we can easily estimate a loss of revenue of more than 2000 crores. This is sure to hit BCCI hard as this was a major source of revenue to the BCCI’s central reserves. It is this central reserve which is then shared equally among BCCI and the IPL franchises.

Their sponsorship arrangements with different corporations is another big reason for worry for IPL franchises. Each IPL franchise is awarded a number of rupees from sponsors for showing its names on team jerseys according to their strength and popularity. Teams are estimated to receive a turnover between single digit to around 40 crores , depending on the location on which the sponsor logo is put. These sponsors, which are estimated to be about Rs 600 crore this year due to the increased digital rights sale, whereas originally it would have given the eight franchises up to Rs 500 crores each year.

Irregular sleep cycle- Having a good sleep is very important for proper health both mentally and physically. It also helps in working more creatively and increases your passion for the work.

Physical health – Physical health must be a priority to everyone. If you are not healthy, you cannot work or invest time in your personal life, so it is very important to evaluate your time and invest in physical health.

Lack of goal or Aim in life- Not having a direction hurt the productivity in work and personal life. It is very important to have structure and values in life.

Less involvement in personal relationships- Friends and families are the people who support you in every situation no matter what and provide stability in life. So, it is very important to nurture these personal relationships.

Fear of failure- due to the fear of failing in life, people overwork themselves. It is essential to understand that success needs both hard work and smart work.

Stressed- If we don’t follow healthy habits, our body will respond with increased stress. This can lead to many other mental conditions.

Never say no to the job- One should learn to know the things that are not of high value. Sometimes that means saying no to something that’s good but comes up at the wrong time.

Lack of interest in other activities- We have so many things that can be done; not everything can be done. Still, one can experiment with their hobbies by stretching their boundaries to find something you can genuinely enjoy, which can also help increase creativity.

Then how can we balance our professional and personal life?. To know the secret, we first need to understand that there is no perfect work-life balance exist. So what can be done to maintain a life where both the professional and personal life have equal priorities. Below are some of the things that I do to maintain a balance. 

I prepare a list of task that needs to be completed in the day. The list includes both professional and personal duties. Keep an eye on the schedule; if something doesn’t go as planned or one work is taking more than expected time, reschedule it immediately.

It is very important to prioritize your time. There may be 50  works on the list, so it is very important to prioritize tasks into urgent, meaningful, and unimportant tasks.

Learn to say ‘NO.’ Wipe your mind before leaving the office or after working hours.

Spend time with your family. Do something new for your family every time. Try to make your weekends and holidays memorable.

Set work hours for yourself and do everything in your power to stick to them. Otherwise, before you know it, you’ll be working until midnight every night.

Face reality doesn’t focus on being a perfectionist. At the end of every working day, take some time for your self-analysis. 

Prioritizing health first and foremost will make you a better employee and person.

If there is a problem or you are working too much, which happens in most cases. You need to “stop” and change a certain script in your life, start small and then try to build from there.

Time Management can be described as the process of planning and rationing out time in such a manner that all the important tasks that have to be performed are performed effectively and efficiently. 

Time management has a lot of important aspects attached to it. We have been taught from very young that time and tide waits for no man. If you want to do something in a certain time period, you have got to adjust your time accordingly. 

Nowadays we also see that time is the new money. If you see the spending culture among the people nowadays, we can see that they do not mind spending some money extra if their commute technique can save them time. Earlier, people used to walk to their office or destination so as to maybe save Rs. 20 of conveyance. But now people do not mind spending that so as to save 20 minutes of their time.

All this points why time management is of utmost importance.

When we look at the benefits of time management, we can see the following

1. Better performance: You would have a clearer understanding of all that you need to do and how long each task can take as you learn to keep time off your day with all your key tasks. You would also find that you waste less time on what to do or jobs and spend more time doing meaningful work, whether you have a timetable to follow. Time management will help you concentrate on the key activities ahead to minimize obstacles that take time.

2. Better Productive work: You will devote more time and consideration into your job if you're not always racing to reach a deadline. Time scheduling lets you plan your projects so that and job can be completed in sufficient time. Whenever you are not eager to finish your job before a short deadline, the quality of your work improves.

3. Ability to meet deadlines: Proper time management means allocating each job to a certain block of time on the list. Often people use time control to complete a job within a number of days, or to finish it before the deadline for any challenges. You will meet the deadlines any time you carefully plan the time you need to finish your job.

4. Stress relief: It is easy to worry about when you have a long list of work and personal activities to do. Good time management will help you organize your to do list and schedule out the time required to complete the most important activities, so you are well aware of what you need to do. Prioritizing the duties and taking time to do them will help reduce your stress.

5. Better efficiency in work: You become more oriented on work once you learn how to better handle your resources, so that you can do more in less time. For example, you can do a few small tasks and save the larger tasks, for which more brain capacity is needed while you have a huge free block of temps, rather than having to focus on a large project, after 15 Minutes before a convention. And less time, you will be able to function more effectively.

These just in turn proves why time management will directly impact increase in productivity altogether.
